The Client

The University of Pennsylvania is a member of the Ivy League and consistently ranks among the top 10 universities in the country.

Commexis is a “Preferred Partner” with Penn and we have been lucky enough to work with multiple divisions / departments within the university over the years, including: The Penn Center for Innovation, Institute for Regenerative Medicine, Epigenetics Center, Wharton MBA Programs, The Asperger’s Center and The Zaret Lab, SEC Management Center, just to name a few.

The Challenge

While they all fall under the UPenn umbrella, each division within Penn has its own identity and target audience. That means that each of these divisions has its own definitive set of brand standards to which Commexis must adhere when working on projects.

Our Approach

Each project starts with a discovery meeting. Through these meetings, we develop personal relationships with all relevant project stakeholders, allowing us to anticipate long-term solutions that will not only accomplish the client’s immediate need, but will also allow room for growth  or shifting priorities.

In this discovery meeting, we also define the scope of the projects so that we can effectively monitor and measure results. We then assign the appropriate Commexis personnel to the project and get to work.


Recent Solutions

Total design and development of the Institute for Regenerative Medicine website along with staff training on the new WordPress platform

Penn Center for Innovation replaced their existing website vendor to move the redesign and maintenance for their website to us. We also designed and produced a print project, The PCI Commercialization Guide (which received rave reviews from not only their department heads and board members.)

We partnered with the Penn Epigenetics Center create five webites for the department. The scope of work included a parent site for the center as well as four other lab websites within their department hierarchy.

Designed and developed a comprehensive branding campaign, including transit posters, mailers, brochures and membership kits for the Penn Club, an Penn alumni association headquartered in New York City.

Designed and developed a new website for Penn’s new Asperger’s Center.

Currently designing and developing the parent site for the entire Penn Genetics department.

Retained by the PCI Ventures group to design and produce the 2017 Year End Report brochure
