Commexis Cast Daily – Oct. 27, 2017: Google and Twitter’s Earning’s Week Success

Today’s Commexis Cast discusses Google’s continued success, and Twitter’s improvements in their earning’s reports. The Wall Street Journal’s Jack Nicas and Laura Stevens reported on Google’s explosive growth, reaching a 33% increase in profits in the third quarter. Twitter publicly revealed they had miscounted their total user numbers for the last three quarters, thrown off by third party apps, but still had more success in the third quarter with only a $21.1 million loss compared to last year’s Q3 loss of $103 million, reports WSJ’s Georgia Wells. And in news no one is surprised to hear, eMarketer’s latest report shows that millennials prefer digital communication over speaking face-to-face. In fact, almost 75% of millennials in the United States preferred digital communication over speaking in person.
