The Retention stage of The Buyer’s Journey focuses on maintaining relationships with your current customers and clients. Ideally, your clients will be so happy with their experience that they’ll make another purchase from you. But clients and customers don’t always do this without a little push. Apple is introducing a new subscription confirmation feature as a way to ease consumer’s minds.

The new box comes as a solution to accidental subscriptions some users were facing. However, as Sarah Perez on TechCrunch reports, it also helps avoid potential scammers. Perez writes, “A good number of developers — especially those in the Utility category — were using sneaky tricks to tap into the subscription craze to bank thousands and even millions of dollars per year. Some apps would intentionally confuse users with their design, or make promises of “free trials” that converted in only a few days, or used other misleading tactics to get users to subscribe.”

The change works on all Apple iOS devices and will hopefully help consumers double-check their intention to subscribe.
